FILM DOCUMENTARY

"Voices of African Mothers" is a short film featuring photos by Tish Lampert. It is a compelling documentary promoting peace in Africa through conflict, prevention and resolution. The empowerment of women, giving them a voice in order to become decision-making leaders through increased literacy, higher education, vocational training and health education.

Since 1967 I have used my lens to focus on relevant political issues. It was the era that defined protests and I was swept up in the times, inspired by those who were standing up for their rights. Throughout my career, I have been empowered by so many who speak out against injustice There is great solidarity in the streets with people from all walks of life who are holding their government accountable.

The Images from the dissent gallery are from my forthcoming book: The Silenced Majority, dissent during the G.W. Bush years.  This body of work represents a decade long project where these demonstrations were virtually ignored by the mainstream press.
